The Witcher 3 is a game I judge with my heart, not with my brain. And my heart says Blood and Wine deserves the highest rating. [07/2016, p.46]

A living, breathing, Cezanne that will not hesitate to cover itself in blood, wink bitterly at you as it runs deeper down the rabbit hole and whose propensity to stun, mesmerize and redefine everything you thought you knew about the concept of “expansion packs”, will have a lasting impact upon the video game industry. Unforgettable.

An exquisite conclusion to a legendary saga, Blood and Wine concludes in a high note the notable efforts of CD Projekt RED and brings some of Sapkowski's most endearing characters to life.

Blood and Wine is a gripping murder mystery set in a picturesque new locale, and a fitting end to the story of Geralt of Rivia.

The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine is an exceptional expansion that reignites a sense of wonder even for players who have put in hundreds of hours so far. The breadth and variety of all that’s included stands stronger than many full-priced sequels. As a twenty-dollar add-on, it’s absolutely worthwhile.

The Witcher 3 was already an incredible title to begin with, and with Blood and Wine it becomes even better. The new region of Toussaint does not simply bring us more of what made the original game so great, it expands on it and offers an environment and a plot line that - in some areas - exceeds that of the main entry.

Geralt deserves to be called a legend, of course, not least because he stars in one of the greatest role-playing games ever made. Perhaps we will join him in yet another adventure, but if Blood and Wine is the White Wolf’s final interactive appearance, he at least departs in style.

The world is beautiful, the soundtrack is amazing and emotion filled.
The dialogue is just as amazing as the main game and I didn't think they could make the relationships more meaningful but they absolutely managed to do so.
The only failing is that this is the last DLC for The Witcher 3, they could have kept going and I would have gladly paid for more as long as they made them.

The land of Touissaint is absolutely packed to the brim with content and collectibles. The main story is about Vampires, and is also engaging. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The best expansion dlc I have seen in a long time. I loved the story and the funny Npcs and the bright and beautiful world. I loved getting a vineyard for the witcher to lay his head down and store his stuff. I would score the main game 9 and this dlc 10. A fantastic dlc at a very high standard. (I preferred this to Heart of Stone-which was quite dark)… Expand

CD Project Red just showed everyone how to make a DLC. This includes everything that a well made DLC should include. It is simply the DLC to rule them all.
Released May. 31 on all major platforms it is abolutely without question a must buy for anyone and everyone that enjoyed Witcher 3.
Blood and Wine includes a huge map, with interesting places and a lot of wine, and french culture.
It starts of with a 'normal' Witcher contract sent out my 'Her Enlightened Ladyship Duchess of Toussaint' to kill and bring the head of The Beast of Beauclair. Quite romantic, no? Along the adventure you may happen upon old and new friends and characters. The world is also filled with interesting sidequests and Witcher Contracts, everything reigning from helping Knights defeat Monsters, and being attacked by living statues. Blood and Wine also includes the great immersion and feeling of liveliness that the main game possess.
The story of Blood and Wine is great. It immerse you in a beautiful and sometimes dark story of love, and murder. Blood And Wine includes multiple ending which makes it very replayable.
The characters have differents views and ideoligies, and It's your job to choose which side you believe is the best. The voice acting is great apart from some moments that bring you straight out of the experience and ruins it for you, although the game is great and it brings you straight back in again. Some character also sound suspiciously ... Swedish?
The game runs just as smoothly as the main game and it is twice as pretty with the beautiful meadows and colourfull environment. I had constant 60fps troughout the entire games without any drops of lag spikes (i5 6600k, EVGA gtx980, 16gb RAM).
The game ends beautifully with Geralt of Rivia talking with a character and they say they need some rest, then Geralt moves his head and eyes and look at you through your computer screen. An incredible message from the developers that they will now take a rest from the Witcher and probably make a new IP. With CD P. Red's new game Cyberpunk 2077 in developement I sure as hell hope thay can bring the same type of quality and love to their next game.… Expand-
